logoforcruiselinerpartyversionFINAL copyAll aboard the SS Atlantica on Saturday, 12 September for a new event that sees elegant party-goers don their finery to revive the splendour of the Thirties Ocean Liner, recreated in an old trading floor in St. Katherine Docks. Featuring live entertainment and dancing, SS: Atlantica will be a Champagne-sodden foray into the glamour of yesteryear’s most luxurious form of travel. Win a pair of tickets with QueensOfVintage.com and join London’s finest vintage cruise.

Taking place in St Katharine Docks, the event will faithfully recreate a ballroom of a luxury cruise liner circa 1931. Curving balustrades and portholes encircle an immense dance floor, lined by round tables dressed with pristine white tablecloths and two bars serving classic cocktails and Champagne.

The evening’s entertainment follows an authentic ship itinerary from the Thirties and throughout the evening, guests will be entertained by activities and diversions typical to those enjoyed by the rich crossing the Atlantic in the Thirties.

Classic deck games such as shuffleboard, Bridge and dominos will be on hand for those tired of dancing. The SS Atlantica’s stage will play host to London’s finest Big Bands, live jazz and Cabaret acts, and a string quartet will entertain those promenading on the upper deck. Guests are invited to join in with the Charleston on the dance floor or relax with a cocktail and watch the Floor Show.

The event’s dress code is ‘At-Sea Formalwear’. Gentlemen should emulate the starched collar and immaculate dinner suit of an Agatha Christie villain and ladies can take their inspiration from the silk and fur ensembles worn by stars of the silver screen.
