The Bright Young Twins are two vintage creeps living in East London enjoying a shared passion for antique clothing, macabre objects and sordid bars. Harriett was born and bred in East Sussex. She grew up shopping at nearby antiquing villages against the historically decadent backdrop of Brighton. Born in Hackney, Aimee has lived in East London her whole life and is scared to go ‘south of the river’. The two met at University in 2009 and have been creepily close ever since.

After a while of constantly being confused for the same person (and explaining to lecturers to just call them ‘thing 1 and 2’ ) The Bright Young Twins project was born. The two collect clothing from the Victorian period to the Seventies and use inspiration from art, old photos and each other to create looks. The two have been featured by ‘Grazia’, ‘Vogue’, ‘Company’ and many other small magazines and blogs.

The Bright Young Twins like travelling together, partying, avocados on toast, junk shops, flowers, making badass Mexican food, boys with long hair, showgirls, smut, feminism, girls with long hair, dancing to their records and planning elaborate new schemes.

Marvelous choice as the last two spots in this sublime series. I enjoyed each and every entry and hope that you’ll consider launching a second round, as there are still so many amazing vintage gals out there who would be perfect for the Queens of Vintage spotlight.

Charming! I’m with Jessica, let’s start the series all over again. Twins, have you considered doing a shoot around the Jack the Ripper crime scenes? Creepy, I know, but it would be intriguing to come up with a different take on subject.
