Our vintage queen number eight has an enviable collection of 50s and 60s clothes, which she teams with cooky bags and a Hepburn-esque ponytail. Robyn Wilsbach, 24, is from New York and is currently working full-time on a novel.

How interesting, Robyn has changed her look significantly in the past 2 years, I used to follow her livejournal and flickr stream and back then she was more into the ’20s and ’30s. I like to see how vintage girls evolve in their look over the years. 🙂

I think it is interesting too, but quite sad as the girl in question was the epitome of 20’s /30’s chic. I think it painful to see people jump from era to eras. I suppose it is a youth thing, that is all of the chopping and changing. When she finds herself she will stay put.

Wearing vintage should be fun and we shouldn’t get too ‘purist’ about our eras – it is only fashion after all! I’ve chopped and changed from 60’s to 20’s to 50’s and mixtures in between (not to mention, grunger, skater, hardcore punker and straight up fashion girl) over the last 20-something years and all of those styles gave me some fun and joy. I’ve settled into straight-up late 40’s/early 50’s in my thirties but who knows which decades I’ll explore in my forties.

She was working on a novel years ago (seriously!). What gives?
