I’ve been reading Danish vintage blog Storms Magasin for a while, and just had to crown the girl behind it – Pia Storm – as Vintage Queen 116. Her polished, glamorous Fifties-style is just wonderful!

Tell us a little about yourself
“I’m Pia Storm from the vintage blog Storms Magasin,¬†and I’m a 28 year old girl living in Copenhagen, Denmark with my beloved cat and soon to be husband. I work as an Art Director, but in my spare time I hunt for vintage dresses. I’ve been collecting vintage dresses for about six years and have almost 100 beautiful frocks from the late Forties to the early Sixties. I love my dresses and wear them every day, in fact I don’t have a single pair of trousers left.”

How would you describe your style
“My style is colorful, fun, ladylike and glamorous.”

Which are your favourite vintage eras and why?
“I love the period from the late Forties to the early Sixties. Especially Christian Dior’s collection New Look is a huge inspiration – everything is so elegant, feminine and playful.”

Is vintage a lifestyle for you that encompasses your whole life?
“Like the clothes, I like the aesthetics of vintage furniture too – the colors, the shape and the history. Therefore I have a lot of Fifties and Sixties furniture in my home, but I don’t strive to live a vintage lifestyle.”

Where do you normally shop for vintage?
“I mostly shop for vintage in the local vintage shops in Copenhagen, but I love Etsy too.”

What is your all-time favourite vintage find?
It’s really hard to choose. I love all my dresses, they really are my precious babies. But the first real vintage dress I bought, will always have a special place in my heart. It’s a beautiful red Fifties silk dress, and the day I bought it I was hooked!”

So nice to see Pia here! I love seeing her Instagram outfit posts. Let’s face it she could wear a sack and look good. Well done Pia!
