Our Vintage Queen no 109 – the lovely Karen – regularly blogs for QueensOfVintage.com, however, writing is more than a hobby for her as she has turned her love for vintage into a successful career as a writer, stylist and vintage events organiser.

“I’m Karen James Welton aka Fabulous Miss K, a freelance fashion stylist specialising in vintage, a life long vintage lover with over 20 years experience in the fashion and beauty industry.

My love of vintage began watching old Hollywood movies with my Mum combined with my Father’s love of swing music – growing up I loved the glamour of the movie stars and wanted to emulate their look.  My favourite eras are the Thirties and Forties and a little bit of the early Fifties.

Now I combine my love for vintage by running a vintage events company with my husband and working as a stylist for magazines, fashion shows and helping others find their perfect vintage outfit with personal shopping trips and styling.

I find most of my outfits from local vintage shops – Lulu Vintage, Prim Vintage and Retreat Vintage – in my home town of Norwich, and on eBay and Etsy as well as at the weekenders such as Twinwoods and HepCats.  Next year also sees the launch of my Fabulous Miss K vintage inspired fashion collection!”
