Meet our latest Vintage King , Lee. Passionate about all things Fifties, he is inspired by none other than the king of rock’n’roll, Elvis.

“My name is Lee Rushton, I am a 21 year-old guy from Walsall. I work in a school as a teaching assistant.

I was born in 1992 although if you look at me, you’d probably think I was born in 1952. I grew up listening to all kinds of music from the Fifties to the Eighties. I’m particularly obsessed with the Fifties and Sixties sporting popped collars and a quiff – I think men were real men back then and always looked cool, so why not model myself after them, particularly Elvis and James Dean, one the world’s greatest singers and one of the world’s greatest actors, their style was just awesome.

I hate following crowds, and I love making my own style. I shop in multiple places to complete my look mainly vintage shops and eBay. I find it hard to find clothes I like, as fashion nowadays is beyond me. I intend on bringing the vintage style back one popped collar at a time!”

What decade would you say then? rolled up sleeves? buckle boots? quiff? dressed like James Dean in Rebel without a cause, 1955? and Elvis in his 1968 comeback? don’t look remotely 50’s? I’d rethink that statement wouldn’t you.
