Balmoral – The Queen

Monarch and reigning champion of ‘nana glamma’, our royal homegirl favours a no nonsense approach to dressing for her summer break, snubbing far away lands to get down and dirty in the wilderness of Scotland.  Hunters wellingtons , headscarves and an array of carefully coordinated twinsets, Her Majesty’s paired down separates fit the bill a treat for our changeable weather.

Get the look:
Belt up in a Barbour and stave off the Bank Holiday chill in chunky knit cardigans and lashings of pearls. Token corgi optional, sensible footwear a must.

Marrakech – Talitha Getty

A walking poster-girl for the beautiful and the damned, tragic Talitha made hippie luxe delicious by throwing wild shapes atop Le Palais du Zahir.

Muse to Diane Von Furstenburg and Yves Saint Laurent, Talitha courted the attentions of the Beatles et al on the party circuit barefoot and trussed up in Ossie Clark blousons .

Get the look:
Team plastic go-go boots with satin harem pants and a warpaint palate of turquoise and coral for a look that’s hedonistic, bohemian Biba at its finest.
