Hollywood loves the story of a loved-up couple on a mad crime spree, on the run from the law. But while Bonnie and Clyde and Natural Born Killers have become cinematic classics, noir masterpiece Gun Crazy (1950) has been quietly forgotten. It’s time to rediscover a vintage film gem.

Gun Crazy, starring Peggy Cummins and John Dall, tells the story of a trigger-happy couple who are brought together by their shared love for guns. Bart and Annie eventually embark on a life of crime, robbing banks and hiding from the police.

Slick, fast and undeniably cool, it’s not surprising that the look and feel of the film have been heavily copied in the famous 1967 version of Bonnie and Clyde.
