Reader style challenge: vintage wedding veils

| March 17, 2009 | 1 Comment

Finally I have a fantastic vintage veil which truly and simply couldn’t be found on the cheap in today’s market. Once again, it comes with a wedding dress in hand – but if you’ve got the motivation it’ll be easy to sell on. It’s also one of the most expensive items at $250, but it is so pretty that I couldn’t resist showing it. It’s my favourite!

The layering of the lace makes you think of Spring, it is a wonderful example of new age grace and purity if ever there was one. This veil is a lovely flower power item, emphasised all the more by the faux pearls and the tulle. Once upon a time this was custom-made using Venetian lace, and you can’t get better than that.

If none of these veils float your boat, it’s worth getting in contact with vintage wedding companies – such as www.avintagewedding.co.uk/, www.thevintageweddingdresscompany.com or hwww.vintagedresses.co.uk/wedding.html. They should be able to take you through the process and show you what is out there.
