Pixxi owner Jen Dodson runs an ‘appointment only system’ for her vintage lingerie boudoir. Located on the ground floor of a private Regency building in Brunswick Square, just off of the Brighton sea front, she specialises in silk and satin Thirties and Forties trousseaux gowns, slips and all boudoir accessories. For all of us who aren’t Brighton-based, her online shop is a virtual treasure trove of vintage lingerie, powder compacts, hair accessories, cigarette holders and even bags and jewellery. The fabrics and sewing techniques were far superior back in the day and so most lingerie has stood the test of time very well. There’s lots and lots of choice out there.
