3981022191_9c8dcfe242One of the easiest ways to shop for vintage fashion and accessories is to attend a fashion fair. There is certainly no shortage of fairs in London, and often you’ll find one or two happening on the same day. Coco Evennett-Watts has a list of some of the best fairs taking place in the capital.

Adams Antique Fairs

Where: The Royal Horticultural Hall, Lindley Hall, Elverton Street, London
www.adamsantiquesfairs.com
Date of next fair: Sunday 6 December
Open: 10.00.a.m. – 4.30.p.m.
Admission: £4.00 | free for under 16s

Running regular antique fairs in London, Adams Antiques describe themselves as the longest and biggest antiques and collectable fair.  With over 200 exhibitors it is guaranteed that you will find the perfect collectors item. Exhibitors include Wooden Bygones, Eva Antiques and Donay Games.

The Affordable Vintage Fair
Where: Sustainable Studios, 65-71 Scrutton Street, London, EC2A 4PJ
www.vintagefair.co.uk
Date of next fair: Saturday 12 December

Open: 12.00.p.m. – 5.p.m.
Admission: £2.00

With a name such as this it’s no wonder that The Affordable Vintage Fair is the largest vintage fair in the UK. This fair is great if you are looking for in-fashion Eighties or vintage bits to mix with your existing wardrobe. Pre-60s vintage clothes are however rather rare, so this isn’t the place if you’re looking for a Forties tea dress or similar.

Cabbages and Frocks Vintage Market
Where: St Marylebone Parish Church Grounds, Marylebone High Street, London, W1 5LT
www.cabbagesandfrocks.co.uk
Date: Every Saturday
Open: 11.00.a.m. – 5.00.p.m.
Admission: Free

The Cabbages and Frocks Market has a combination of fine British delicatessen as well as vintage fashion. The market also celebrates new designers as well as second-hand clothing, children’s clothes and jewellery.
