How to ‘stay-cate’ the vintage way
In the evenings, the girls and I sat by the wood burning stove, surrounded by retro decor with a glass of wine and played the many Sixties-themed board games provided. One night we even went on an exciting evening walk to an old pub through a gorgeous track filled with wildlife and beautiful flowers. Duting the day we mostly took brisk walks into Cowes or Newport where we came across amazing vintage shops such as Junk and Disorderly and charming tea shops near peaceful coves in Ventnor and Freshwater Bay.
At the end of our week we realised it was fabulous to rid of those expensive hotel rooms devoid of personality and try something new. From gnome gardens and Enid Blyton beaches to a thriving art scene and vintage shopping that took us through the decades we never tired of the Isle of Wight. As we packed our bags and closed the white wooden door to the shack we were all sad it was time to say goodbye, until next time!

Sounds lovely! How about a Canadian version?
Oops, I just realized I started with the exact same thing as the other commentor. I didn’t even notice. Well, it does sound lovely.
That looks like a lot of fun — and I second the recommendation of the Shady Dell in Bizbee, Ariz. It’s delightful.
