Heyday’s 5th Avenue: A repro winter coat worth investing in
By Lena on March 3, 2013
March might not be the most common time to think about buying a new winter coat as spring seems just around the corner.
But if the last few freezing cold weeks are anything to go by, it’ll be a while before we can reach for lighter jackets. Not to mention the winter coat fatigue that sets in after having worn the same coat every day for the last few months.
While there are plenty of amazing vintage coats out there, this repro number by Heyday has recently caught our eye.
Coats are born to be stunning, or at least, this one is. Inspired by a coat purchased in New York, the aptly named 5th Avenue has serious street cred with it’s figure enhancing shape. Be warned: you will be noticed.
Best of all the 5th Avenue is full of little design features such as square cut arm holes to allow for a greater length of movement, deep cuffs (perfect for wearing gloves), lots of fabric in the skirt which will accommodate all skirt shapes and look great over trousers, shoulder pads which help frame the collar shape and two hidden pockets at the front, cosy for your hands and ideal for travel essentials or your mobile.
It is currently comes in bottle green in a range of sizes. At £250 this is definitely an investment coat to last for many more winters.
The 5th Avenue is out of stock at the moment but you can sign up for an email notification to alert you when it’s back. Needless to say, we’ve just signed up.
Although Heyday regularly advertises on our site, this is not a sponsored post. We were also not given a coat for free. We just really like it and had to share our love.
