Picture 7Outfit 3:
The lovely inspiration for my final fashion piece  are cranberries. Yes, they are a Thanksgiving staple, next to the turkey, gravy and stuffing, but I usually include this color I love so much on a regular basis anyway.

Wouldn’t you know that while searching like a mad woman for some more holiday themed inspiration, I came across this fabulous dress. Not only does it sport the feather element I have used so frequently, it also has the perfect shade of cranberry I was looking for right in the feather print.

As I have stated before, these outfits are proof that there is a way to incorporate the refined class of the Forties style and glamour, while immersed in the mood and spirit of the holiday, without being over the top. This dress is just the perfect little hint and touch of classic style. You can see and purchase this snappy little dress over at the fabulous Dorothea’s Closet Vintage.

Picture 8Of course there is a hat to match darlings, cranberry colored feathers and all. It’s another lovely Etsy find.

Speaking of cranberries, how much more cranberry can you get than these pair of shoes? Not only are they completely Forties fabulous, but also they match the colors of the dress in perfect harmony. They remind me of the exact same color of those delicious bright cranberries perfectly placed in a bowl, sitting on the Thanksgiving dinner table. Buy them on Etsy, seller Scarlet’s Vintage.

Well, there you have it, a classy and vintage Thanksgiving-themed wardrobe. You are now ready to celebrate the Thanksgiving season in the perfect Forties glamour girl outfit.

Who would have thought, that the different elements of this holiday, such as turkey feathers and food dishes could be such an inspiration for fashion. Even though the theme of this article is Thanksgiving, believe me I would wear these garbs any day of the week!On another note, since we are on the subject.

I would like to take this moment to reiterate the fact that I realize not all of the items featured are available for everyone to purchase. Based on different size needs, prices, etc., but they can also be taken for pure styling inspiration and era research education!

Picture 9So, that’s all folks! Have I gotten anyone in the mood for Thanksgiving yet? Make sure to stop by and check out my own Vintage Life & Style blog located at www.goldengirlofthewest.blogspot.com.
