The Fabulous Miss K: I love this time of year for the one reason only –  with the cold nip in the air and the fact that I have naturally curly hair which goes into frizz every time I walk out the front door, it gives me an excuse to wear some fabulous vintage hats.

Buying a vintage hat is an easy way to get started with your vintage collection as it easy to pick up a cute beret from charity shops – wear it at a tilt and add a brooch for a great Thirties feel or go for a cloche in a felt –  highstreet shops are good for this style of hats and always do them in classic colours.

For a Forties look you can’t go wrong with a trilby or fedora – again the highstreet has these styles – add a feather for drama or look out for original felt tilt hats that give a real Forties feel.

Pill box styles or a wider brimmed cloche are great for a Fifties look – why not go for a leopard print to wear with a simple black coat, always stylish and classic!

Hats are a great way to give yourself the vintage look without much effort, they keep you warm and it saves on having to do your hair in the morning!

I love wearing hats of all designs and colors. I have a collection of vintage hats that are too small for me…but I just love looking at them. Have quite a few hats that I can wear and I do.
