Our amazing Vintage Queen number 69, Brooksie, loves to go antique shopping. If you’re near Portland, Oregon, she’s got a great tip for an antique market and original soda fountain, where President Kennedy once stopped over for a tasty treat.

One of my favorite places to go to shop for an antique or two and then for a sweet treat is the Main Street Collectors Mall and Soda Fountain. It is located at 10909 SE Main Street in Milwaukie, Oregon 97222. Milwaukie is a little town/suburb only a few miles south of downtown Portland.

The mall has over 60 dealers and 1000’s of items from collectibles, jewelry and vintage clothes to magazines and much more.

The treats in the soda fountain are simply wonderful and just like they were back in the day. The soda fountain is the original one that was in this building.

Another thing that makes this place special is that in 1960 President John F. Kennedy came out to Portland during his candidacy and stopped off in Milwaukie Oregon while he was at it. He came to this very soda fountain and I was able to sit in the very same seat that he sat in.
