Expect free music, vintage stalls, vintage hair and make-up and much more at Victorious Vintage, the UK’s largest free vintage and music event to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard this summer.

Taking place over the Jubilee Weekend on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd of June 2012, expect an array of beautiful vintage stalls selling everything from frocks to collectables.

The Vintage Salon by LeKeux Events will be on hand for vintage make-overs, offering everything from victory rolls to perfect red lips from just £5 – because your beauty is their duty! Plus, as a reward to those who come turned out in their finest, the roaming Best Dressed team will be handing out prizes during the day.

Revellers won’t fail to be mesmorised by Forties starlet Annie Andrews, who will be performing at the event, as well as local dance troops performing a Land Girls show and the timeless Charleston.

Music will be a key theme of the event with a main headline act each evening, bands throughout the day on the main stage and a smaller acoustic stage – names TBC but already include Dodgy and Mark Morriss from the Bluetones on Saturday and The Lightning Seeds, The Bog Rolling Stones and The Silver Beatles on Sunday, plus other well-known bands from the region across the weekend. All this will be taking place with the unique backdrop of HMS Victory.

Memories will be invoked of the smell of popcorn, the taste of kisses on the back row and the involuntary tear-jerk moment as Action Stations Cinema will be showing timeless classics from 10am-6pm (an additional charge of £5).

Entry onto the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard site will be free from 10am-10pm (standard ticketing to attractions will still apply).
