Surprisingly, the weather forecasters were correct this time around, it was indeed a pretty grizzly London weekend.  But a few droplets of rain didn’t stop Broadway Market celebrating their 6th Birthday in true vintage style alongside VE day celebrations. The entire market delved into the Forties spirit with vintage style umbrellas at the ready for tea and cake, bunting, swing music dancing and Forties hair styling. Here’s some of our favourite vintage ladies and gents.

From swing dancing to pearl-encrusted fascinator making, why not take a little peek through the Queens of Vintage camera lens and see what went on.  The best dressed were swing dancing at L’eau a La Bouche, stunning ladies with charming, suited chaps stepped in style to Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsen.

Camille, from Our Patterned Hand, looked fabulously glam’ in a 1940s geometric dress accessorised with sparkling jewels and patterned tilt hat.
