Bow10 10. Unlike the typical drop-waisted designs of the Twenties, this rich red and chocolate brown dress with a fantastic oversized bow decoration is a high waisted (almost empire line) fit. Superbly tailored across the shoulders, it has an asymmetric neckline and fastens at the back with fabric coloured buttons.

The bow that dominates the dress is made from velvet and there are loops where an understated belt can be used to cinch in the design. There is evidence of one small repair at the rear of the garment, but this unique and daring item is otherwise in great condition (with no signs of staining or fading).

A rare design, it is priced at $225 (approx. £142).
