Vanessa Sandoval  - LA correspondent

berlinHolly - Berlin correspondent

Guten Tag, I’m Holly, your vintage correspondent in Berlin! As a young girl I listened to my grandmother tell stories about the Berlin Airlift and infamous “candy bombers” on lazy saturday afternoons in Arizona. I knew I had to live in Berlin one day, exploring its cabarets, vintage shops and untold stories. In my spare time I film hair and make-up tutorials on YouTube.

I look forward to sharing Berlin’s best vintage addresses with you!

S8301985Angel Cutsforth – Tel Aviv correspondent

Hi, I’m Angel, I am originally from England but I’m currently in Israel. I am obsessed with vintage: all of my bookmarks are to vintage blogs or sites, I know most of the vintage shop owners near me by name, and my wardrobe is pretty much all vintage or vintage inspired. I also love modern fashion because I like seeing what era they looked to for inspiration. My other interests include Literature (I’m doing my BA with London University External System, and sewing (I’m hoping to do some courses). I blog here

Christopher Raymond Brocklebank

Christopher plays drums for The Baby Janes, edits and writes when he can get the work and lives in South London with a husband and five cats. He loves Rock n Roll, ‘70s horror films & Morrissey.

He does not like meat, Topman or gastropubs. He loves vintage because he feels like an exile in the present (though isn’t daft enough to think life was a bed of roses in the past).

Martha Hayes

I’m Martha and I’ve been a feature writer in London for the last three years. I write for a TV magazine to pay the bills and spend the rest of my time daydreaming in Ossie Clark and Mary Quant, talking, writing about and trying on clothes, discovering old films and music, dancing, eating cupcakes and drinking gin tea. My sister says I would buy dog poo if I thought it was vintage.

Oh and check out my blog here!

Laura Terry

I’ve been a fashion and beauty writer for the past year now, freelancing for various magazines and online publications. I’m very passionate about vintage and high street fashion, and also love nothing more than to cast a critical eye over the best and worst dressed celebrities in the business. Catwalk shows are my kryptonite and seeing what the designers have in store each season officially sends me into a cold sweat. It’s fair to say I’m officially a fashion addict…and an unrepentant one at that!

Adele Baxby

I’m Adele, a journalism graduate, freelance writer and PR Account Executive. After working in a second hand bookshop I discovered my passion for vintage after finding a stack of Thirties and Forties fashion mags.

A lover of patterns, ridiculously oversized costume jewellery and ANYTHING with an animal motif on, I am often found frequenting some lovely northern antique shops bartering over a huge beetle brooch or a bird of paradise hairpin.

Neandra Etienne

Hi I’m Neandra and I’ve finally found a place where I can combine my two favourite things, finding vintage shops & asking questions (I’m just really nosey). I’ve been a freelance lifestyle journalist for 5 years, previous to that I worked in showbiz and television production. One of my career highlights was having Simon Le Bon introduce himself to me when I worked at VH1.

I adore Betty Boop and collecting vintage Sindy dolls and dressing them in of course vintage outfits. I’ve even named my cat George Roper and I’m planning to get a little Mildred Roper too.

You will find me hunting for anything vintage from family & friends and charity shops, wishing I was a teenager and it was still the 1970s. I’m excited about: Having an excuse for indulging in all things vintage. Email me at lilmsfashionista@hotmail.com

Sara de Velasco

I love fashion. I love it because it allows us to blend in and to stand out at the same time. How it can transform me every morning and match my mood or even change it. I find it fascinating as a vehicle for creativity, from designers to customers re-interpretations.

My interest and love of vintage comes from watching movies late at night cuddled in bed with my mum. Together we admired the style of Barbara Stanwyck, Ingrid Bergman, Lauren Baccall and the screen goddesses of Holywood’s golden era. It was the mixture of femininity, glamour, anigmatic personas and empowerment that we felt completely drawn to. Even these days I struggle to find more compelling and independent characters than those portrayed by Katherine Hepburn and Greta Garbo. What I miss most from the old days is the current substantial lack of hats, fascinators and gloves!

Amy Rosa

Brighton based vintage obsessive with a fondness for the eccentric and kitsch. Former record shop employee and all round music and movie nerd. Always getting fashion ideas from some dodgy old European film or another.

Love everything to do with the 60s, British horror films of the past, vinyl and Peter Cook. I also write about bad vhs artwork for my blog (http://crapvideoart.blogspot.com/).
